Today’s second post talks about a success story of one of our members, Dominick. He sent an email thanking us for creating StumbleUdon. Then we asked what he did and how his experience was, and this is his answer:

Hey there :D,

My experience with StumbleUdon is fantastic. Here is what I do to ensure that my pages gain popularity:

I used StumbleUdon on one of my recent blog posts. First, I wrote the article. Then, I posted it on the blog (naturally). After that, I immediately submitted it to StumbleUpon. Within 5 minutes, it was already submitted to StumbleUdon.

I think that 5 free stumbles per day for newer members won’t give you much traffic. In my experience, it takes at least 8 stumbles in the first hour to keep you in the “fresh stumble” network. I bought some udons knowing I would need them, and then submitted the site with 25 stumbles. I figure that StumbleUdon gives out stumbles at a random rate, and they usually come in at about 3-4 an hour, so if I got normal stumbles along with Udon stumbles to keep the content in circulation, I would be in the clear.

After 5 udon stumbles, my website’s hits flourished. I received over 400 unique hits in the course of 20 minutes which has been continuing on this trend for about 2 hours now. I still have 19 stumbes from Udon left too keep the visits coming. I bought Udons knowing that 100 of them could power 4 or 5 of my posts to high traffic, so $10 didn’t seem like much. However, I think that it should be offered for a cheaper price as well, such as $1 for 10 udons. Believe it or not, people would jump all over that. $1 to promote 10 stumbles to each blog post? I would buy it every time!

If you read his story carefully, you will notice one important thing: he acted FAST.

He wrote the article, submitted it to StumbleUpon, and then submitted the URL to StumbleUdon within 5 minutes. And the result is quite nice.

A simple recipe to stumble success:
1. Write quality content
2. Submit to StumbleUpon
3. Submit to StumbleUdon within 15 minutes after step (2)

The URL that you submit to StumbleUdon must be FRESH.
Otherwise your result might be disappointing.
